A Special Birthday Gift Honoring a Mom

The Elegant Muse is primarily about 3 things: to honor someone loved or their memory, to see the potential beauty in and give new life to old, forgotten treasures, and to find things I believe are beautiful to share with others.

This piece encompasses all three of those goals. Created for my sister-in-law’s birthday, it was originally a treasured piece of her dear Mom’s. If you happened to read this previous post you’ll already know the story of how we gathered to go through my sweet mother-in-law’s jewelry after her passing.

Small pearls and a bit of sparkle - I think Memaw would have loved it’s new, repurposed form. And the fact that her treasure is no longer tucked away in a drawer but being worn by her precious daughter.
