A Dream Comes True - My Jewelry in Victoria Magazine

How did it all happen?

Since The Elegant Muse jewelry appeared in Victoria Magazine (I'm still swooning!) many have asked this question, so I thought I'd share the story.

In 1987 my Mom discovered Victoria, shared it with me, and we've been avid fans ever since. We marveled over the elegant locations, dreamy rooms, flowers and recipes - the photography was like artwork and we soaked it up, often over a steaming cup of tea. I lost my precious Mom a few years ago, and I still think of her every time a new edition arrives in my mailbox.

A few years ago my dear friend, Julia, a fellow fan of Victoria said to me,"Your jewelry should be in there - it fits perfectly with their style!" I thanked her for the sweet compliment and dismissed the idea with,"That would certainly be a dream come true."

But a tiny part of me thought would it even be possible?

Nothing ventured nothing gained, so I reached out to a possible contact but received no response. Days turned to weeks, weeks to months, and then ... she answered with a sweet, encouraging email and a contact at the magazine!

I sent an email to that contact in the morning and that afternoon I received the news that they'd like to include The Elegant Muse jewelry in an upcoming issue. I was thrilled to the ends of my fingertips, over the moon, and tickled pink all at the same time!

I sent several pieces to them for the photography and waited for the magical day that I'd receive my advance copy.

So that's the story - a dream really did come true. And when I opened the magazine to page 22 and saw my jewelry there, I could feel my Mom looking over my shoulder and bursting with joy right along with me!

Feeling so very thankful and blessed.

Thanks for sharing! my mom and I also loved that magazine and I lost her back in 2000 that magazine makes me think of her too. Actually it’s so funny because in looking at that magazine, it made me go to your website and I’ve been looking at a necklace that I’m probably gonna buy this week.
